Re: Greenspan term

Paul Volker did not finish one of his terms in 1987 so Greenspan was appointed to serve out his last 2 years under Ronald Reagan. A chairman can serve 4 four year terms if succeeding presidents wish to reappoint them. So - Greenspan served 4 terms of his own for a totalof 18 years.
